Lilypad

Our Millbrook Restaurant is located in the Lily Pad shopping area.
Lily Pad is an elegant, small shopping area which also offers different types service.
Small, homey, personalized places are very inviting at Lily Pad. I honestly believe people today are ready to be more recognized and feel more welcomed. People will eventually patronize smaller stores that make them feel more like a person.
In the giant corporate stores no one has a face any longer. We are a number with money or credit cards to be filled.
Small shops were the stops anyone liked. Where people found the local news and gossip.
The places to exchange smiles a little attentions.
Going to a local shop was like entering a familiar home, warm and cosy. The owner and workers new every ones taste and made everyone feel special.

I believe people will go back to the small local store where they were recognized as people and were welcomed by the owners and small crew.

Big malls and shopping centers depersonalized people. They are cold. I notice that reflects in the attitude of shoppers.

I used to go to big boutiques but I always had my old lady welcoming me, telling me about all the new arrivals and the future sales.

I like to feel welcome when I enter a place and I like to be called by my name as a sign of recognition.

The sad faces around the world refletc lack of recognition and attention.

A hug, a pat on the shoulder and nice welcome smiles entice people to return to the same place.

  1. Lily Pad is opening new shops. Shops aimed at personal and beauty care.
Millbrook is really growing. It is a pleasure to see the small clannish town acquiring a metropolitan attitude which makes the new comers feel more welcomed
