History and comfort

The old Confederate monument depicting names of people who served from the southern area stands as reminder of freedom in front of the old villa modernized for comfort. The grounds that once were a Confederate Encampment are now thriving with vibrating life and colors. A lot of improvement has been done to this grounds that still hide bullets, arrow heads, medicine bottles, rat poison bottles, horse’s harness and pieces of old rusted plows. History will never die in this southern corner where so many sacrificed for their freedom.

Nature awakes

The old manor is coming to full life. The sun shining early in the morning is bringing every bud to a full bloom. The grass is greener and the Forgetmenot grow wild in the grass. Little daisies poke their heads out of their leaves opening slowly to their full bloom.

New smells, bees buzz, butterflies flutter their wings from color to color. The Crepe Myrtles are all in bloom with bright green leaves and colors that vary from light pink to purple. The smoke tree is puffing with confusing blooms. The garden is producing tasty green beans, tomatoes and other vegetables. Herbs are plenty, Rosemary, Garlic, Basil. On the other side of the property Cana lilies are shooting high with their bright colors. Some of the Knock out Roses is still blooming in the back. The whole property has come to a wide awakening with colors and smells.

The old manor.

Nature is blooming

The old manor is shooting beautiful colors to the sky. All the Crape Myrtles are vibrant with life showing their different colors. The smoke tree looks smokey and fuzzy. The garden is filling with nice crops of green beans and big tomatoes. Garlic, Rosemary and all other spices scent the air with life and freshness. Life is smiling with all the beauty surrounding it. Bees are swarming, butterflies flatter their wings landing on all the brightest colors. Frogs and toads croak early in the morning. Birds prepare their nests in the trees. This is the season that makes anyone rejoice.

Fertile Grounds

Now that the Crape Myrtle trees rail the driveways with different color flower. The white Olive scents the air. The buterfly flutter their colorful wings from plant to plant. My elevated garden by the swimming pool building is producing the tastier, nature smelling string beans, peas, squash and zucchini. My fig tree is full of little green balls soon to become awsome fruits ready to be preserved in jars for the winter. The tomato plants are tall and green, the flowers on it will soon turn into jucy tomatoes. It is a joy to go outside and pick the fresh vegetables from the ground. The taste of them does not compare to the store bought ones. I slightly touch a tomato plant and my whole hand smells like fresh tomatoes. Rosmary, Basil,
Garlic, Parsely, Oregano, and other spices fill the air with pleasant, appetizing odors. Cooking my home grown vegetables gives me joy and fills the house with natural odors.

ghostly Manor

Built in 1885 from heart of pine, sun dried wood. The manor walls hold secrets. Ghostly whispers of warm air run through our hair. Visions of running shadows appear down the hall. The manor was checked by ghost hunters. They found definite electric active fields. They presented us with a nice, detailed write up and a 2 seconds CD. The CD just shows a chart of electric, magnetic field where no one was present. The experts suggested that was presence of ghosts. We live happily in our ghostly manor and feel protected by our spirits.
