Fertile Grounds

Now that the Crape Myrtle trees rail the driveways with different color flower. The white Olive scents the air. The buterfly flutter their colorful wings from plant to plant. My elevated garden by the swimming pool building is producing the tastier, nature smelling string beans, peas, squash and zucchini. My fig tree is full of little green balls soon to become awsome fruits ready to be preserved in jars for the winter. The tomato plants are tall and green, the flowers on it will soon turn into jucy tomatoes. It is a joy to go outside and pick the fresh vegetables from the ground. The taste of them does not compare to the store bought ones. I slightly touch a tomato plant and my whole hand smells like fresh tomatoes. Rosmary, Basil,
Garlic, Parsely, Oregano, and other spices fill the air with pleasant, appetizing odors. Cooking my home grown vegetables gives me joy and fills the house with natural odors.
